National Hospital Mapping and Wayfinding System
In 2018, I was interviewed by Kosovo’s Minister of Health and subsequently hired by the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency to support the management of the Kosovo Hospital and University Clinical Service (KHUCS) and the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK), as well as the Regional Hospitals in Gjilan and Prizren, in developing a new visual and conceptual identity.

As part of the pedestrian campus mapping, I designed three types of large standing totems. Model A (as seen above) is placed at intersections and other highly frequented points to help patients and visitors locate clinics and navigate the campus. Model B (shown below) is positioned next to multi-story buildings that host multiple clinics, providing clear orientation and wayfinding information.

Model C totems (shown below) were placed next to clinics, pointing toward building entrances. They also featured a 3D illustrated map displaying the entire campus and the user’s current location. Each clinic was assigned a corresponding color to make wayfinding clearer and more intuitive.
