Re-introducing the Newspaper

When Uran Ismaili ran for the mayor of Prishtina, his campaign was regarded as one of the most creative mayoral campaigns in Kosovo. Among other things, I have designed his weekly newspaper, that informed people about his programme ans more.
The newspaper quickly became one of the most recognizable and memorable elements of the campaign. In a city where newspapers had completely disappeared from the few remaining kiosks, bringing a printed weekly publication back into the streets of Prishtina felt both unexpected and deeply nostalgic. Locals reacted to it with genuine delight, picking up copies at cafés, kiosks, and public spaces much like they once did every morning years ago. For many people, the newspaper became more than a campaign tool; it was a reminder of a different rhythm of city life, when print media was part of everyday culture. Many citizens even kept and collected the editions, turning them into small souvenirs of a campaign that managed to feel both refreshingly original and emotionally familiar.
Uran Ismaili himself was one of the newspaper’s biggest supporters, eagerly anticipating each new edition and taking great pride in the concept throughout the campaign. His enthusiasm helped shape the publication into more than just informational material, it became a creative extension of the campaign’s identity, blending political communication with culture, nostalgia, and storytelling in a way that resonated strongly with the public.
